I just love taking pictures, and here in Raja Ampat Indonesia I got to play with my macro lens a lot. Now you would think that these pygmy seahorses would be easy to spot. But nooooo… They are really small and masters of disguise.
One of the first times that I almost saw them, one of or guides helped me out. On he dive site Andiamo he showed me a sea fan and signalled that 6 pygmy seahorses where in there. He had to run as he was guiding a group and so was I. So I checked it out, my god I did not even see one… hahahahahahaha…. Took me a bit of time and some practice to spot m and got it down now.
And thanks to Gee, one of our dive guides here on SY Indo Siren, I got a chance to have a proper photo shoot with these Denise’s Pygmy Seahorses.
